~ Sweet Dreams ~
Sweet dreams fall, celestial kisses
dancing behind closed eyes
songbook open, reminisces
kisses bring butterflies.
Don’t wake me now, time won’t allow
soothe worried creases from my brow
don’t wake me now
don’t wake me now
love was near with a proffered vow.
Sweet dreams fall, celestial kisses
my head on my pillow
making up for all life’s misses
from oh, so long ago.
Is it a guise to cause these sighs?
Who will I see behind closed eyes?
Is it a guise?
Is it a guise?
Am I to wake to love or lies?
Sweet dreams fall, celestial kisses
I don’t know who I see
all others my heart dismisses
but you, a mystery.
Let me retrace, go back in space
to each scar, so I can erase
let me retrace
let me retrace
then let me finally see your face.

A piece one reads. Then reads again. Beautiful.

This makes me wish I could dream like a natural man, but also makes me happy I don’t go there. All things considered, the risk must surely be worth the potential reward.
Happy New Year from Tennessee!
