By the time they finally started down the long driveway to Wes’ farm, the sun was already making its way down. Hot and exhausted, Gabrielle had one foot out the door before Wes had the ignition off. Chuckling at his cousin, he watched her jump out of the truck. “Careful! You’ll break a heel,” he warned. “Bite me” Gabrielle retorted as she reached into the bed of the truck for her bags.

Trying not to get frustrated and relieved she was at least now going in the right direction, Gabrielle tried to relax. Finding her turn, she soon found herself nearing Wes’ farm. Breathing deeply, she rolled down her windows in the sunshine. Instantly, she crinkled her nose. ‘Mistake’ she thought as she rolled her windows back up.
